Didnt expect the show this morning to take an unexpected twist with Howie Magner sitting in for Wickett.. i contended that the Badger basketball team for all of it regular season success, has been a major failure in the NCAA Tournament.Too many times they have had the doors blown off by a lesser team when expectations were much higher..At least in my book..Howie contended that the Badgers have been successful in the tourney. I thought i was argue-free for a day when Wickett took a vacation. Still ,i dont understand how anyone can feel differently about Badger hoops. Great regular season program, especially in fattening up on bad teams and of course dominating the top 25 at the Kohl Center. But a MAJOR disappointment in March. |

Covering the Bucks game tonight.. I wish i could find some hope in the Bucks.. Anyone who attends tonight's game vs the Hornets knows they are going to see a Bucks team that seems to have little direction right now or purpose. So they will beat a bad team tonight. Big dea!! If only there was a young talented nucleus that at least I would have something to look forward to in the future..Kinda like the Brewers were of the mid 2000's.. The Brewers were medicore at best but at least you knew with Weeks,Fielder and company things could get much better Is there a handful of redeeming qualities that should attract me to the Bradley Center these days? If anyone knows, Im dying to know. |

I have no idea where the Bucks are headed these days. Something is going on with Brandon Jennings, that we havent seen before with him. Seems like he has lost some passion out there on the court. Stephen Jackson thing has cooled off for the Bucks, for the moment.., Drew Gooden has played well but shoots from the outside a little too much for my liking. The rotation is a mess. Prior to Wednesday, the effort had not been there for the previous three games. What happened to Jon Leuer? Lots of question marks for the Bucks yet the team could be worse at 11 and 14. |

Saturday is a huge day for Marquete,Wisconsin and the Bucks. Looking forward to all three of their matchups.. The Badgers have a history of knocking off ranked teams at the Kohl Center. They are not better than 3rd ranked Ohio State but you know they have a great shot at winning but would have zero chance in Columbus. It will be difficult for Marquette at Notre Dame. Im hoping Davante Gardner is back. They cant afford to be down two pivot men with the previous injury to Chris Otule.. The Bucks have made a terrific turnaround in the last two weeks, but they cannot compete with the Bulls. Im looking for the Bulls to sweep the season series.
As far as the Super Bowl, I wish i cared more about either team or at least a storyline I was interested in... I think the Giants will get it done |

Jackson Has Been a Disaster for Bucks

I cannot remember ever any athlete causing so much stir in such a short period of time as Stephen Jackson.. This is turning intoa complete mess for the Milwaukee Bucks.. Its been one issue after another with this guy and there was no 'honeymoon" period where he behaved himself. Why does he insist going to war with Skiles?? I know Skiles isnt the easily cat to get along with and he brings some of this onto himself.. Who didnt guess that Jackson/Skiles would be a bad ,bad marriage? Even so, Jackson has done little to endear himself with his childish actions. |

Fan Fest Success

Brewer Fan Fest was a terrific success. Gets the blood moving for Opening Day. Corey Hart is becoming one of the more outspoken players on team. Isn't real high about playing first base. Zach Greinke sounds like he likes Milwaukee..Shawn Marcum to work on his delivery, they need him to be the pitcher he was for most of the season... Not alot of storylines going into Spring Training. Rotation is set, back end of bullpen.. Only questions remain first base and 7th inning relievers |

I really enjoy watching Marquette this year..Their athleticism makes them a fun team to watch..A combination of their athleticism and Villanova's inability to shoot, allowed the Warriors, yes Warriors,to rally from a 18 point deficit on Saturday..DJO was terrific, hitting his shots, Vander Blue even hit his free throws.. hopefully nothing is bad on Gardner.Seton Hall on Tuesday and a tough one at Notre Dame next Saturday.l |

Wisconsin got another home victory against a top 25 opponent after beating Indiana. The Badgers are likely headed for another NCAA Tourney berth as well.. However, there isn't any reason why we should get excited about any deep tournament run. They don't do anything special and more than likely could get run off the court by a much more athletic team in the tourney..They shoot well, play defense, and make free throws. Unfortunately the margin of error is so small,as usual, with Bo Ryan's team. |
